What We Do
The Stefron Group, LLC
Song Pluggers
The Stefron Group, LLC consist of New Mexico music professionals acting as Independent (Indie) Song Pluggers / Freelancers hired directly by Independent New Mexico Songwriters.
In New Mexico, independent "song pluggers" who pitch original material (to major record labels or artists, including local music to TV, film, and ad catalogs, are extremely rare. That is why we started this business.
We act as a "musical matchmaker" or salesperson that pitches written / demo songs to recording artists, producers, record labels, and music supervisors. Our ultimate goal is to secure a "cut" (getting an known artist to record the song) or a sync placement (getting the song featured in TV, film, or commercials).
Our responsibilities include
Pitching Material: They schedule frequent pitch sessions with industry decision-makers to play demos of tracks they represent, carefully choosing songs that align with a specific artist's style or a project's needs.
Building Relationships: Our success relies heavily on networking. They maintain deep, trusted relationships with A&R executives, managers, and producers so their submissions actually get listened to sifting through catalogs: Whether working independently or for a music publishing company, pluggers review massive catalogs of music to find the most marketable tracks.
Securing Sync Licensing: We actively target the New Mexico Film Industry and work with them music supervisors to place songs in movies, video games, and advertisements to generate alternative revenue streams for songwriters.
The Stefron Group, LLC acts as a sales force of the New Mexico music industry, pitching unrecorded songs to artists, producers, and A&R personnel to secure major label cuts. Our upfront fee is $25.00 per song listed on our website and a percentage of the songwriters royalties from our hard work. We understand that the songwriter that owns his/her own publishing might have to give that up in negotiations with a major artist, producer or publisher.
